The atmosphere at the PDP Delta State Caretaker Committee Secretariat came alive with excitement, warmth and renewed political vigour as two towering figures of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ogbueshi Ejiofor Onyia, revered Life Member of the Board of Trustees (BOT), and Elder Emmanuel Ogidi, immediate past PDP National Vice Chairman, South-South, paid a surprise courtesy visit to the secretariat in what many described as a remarkable show of unity, confidence and party solidarity.
The distinguished leaders were enthusiastically received by members of the executive committee under the able and indefatigable leadership of the Chairman of the PDP Delta State Caretaker Committee, Hon. Nonso Alexander Ndah, whose administrative dexterity and stabilizing influence continue to attract widespread commendation across party ranks.

Indeed, the secretariat momentarily transformed into a grand political family reunion as smiles, handshakes and expressions of comradeship filled the air, further underscoring the growing spirit of cohesion within the party ahead of the crucial 2027 political battles.
Delivering the welcome address on behalf of the committee, Hon. Johnbull, Executive Committee member representing Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal Constituency, expressed profound delight over what he described as a deeply encouraging and pleasant surprise visit by the party stalwarts. He noted that the presence of such respected leaders at the secretariat was a powerful morale booster capable of energizing the committee toward greater service and commitment.

Speaking during the visit, Elder Emmanuel Ogidi showered glowing encomiums on the committee for demonstrating exceptional administrative capacity and organizational competence in the ongoing sale of expression of interest and nomination forms to aspirants across the state.
With the voice of a seasoned party builder and strategist, the PDP National Vice Chairman charged the committee to remain steadfast and ensure that the party successfully secures at least two-thirds of the required number of aspirants needed to fill the 29 Delta State House of Assembly seats, 13 National Assembly seats and the single gubernatorial ticket.
He applauded the committee’s enviable performance thus far and encouraged members not to relent in their determination to reposition the PDP for total electoral victory.

The highly revered PDP Life BOT member, Ogbueshi Ejiofor Onyia, on his part, reaffirmed his unwavering support and commitment to the success of the party. In words laced with deep conviction and statesmanship, he assured the committee that the elders and loyal stakeholders of the party would continue to stand firmly behind the leadership structure to ensure that the PDP regains and consolidates its mandate come 2027.
His remarks drew admiration from party faithfuls present, many of whom viewed his reassuring words as a strong symbol of continuity, loyalty and enduring faith in the PDP project.

The memorable gathering was brought to a close with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Hon. Ujor Ucheonye, who expressed appreciation to the distinguished visitors for their show of love, solidarity and encouragement toward the committee.
As the curtains fell on the event, one undeniable message echoed through the secretariat halls: the PDP in Delta State is gradually rallying its finest political minds, rebuilding confidence and preparing with renewed determination for the battles that lie ahead.
