The Benue Investment and Property Company (BIPC), has conducted the final test run of the revitalised Benfruit Juice Industry in Makurdi ahead of takeoff.
Speaking after the exercise at the company’s premises, the Maintenance Manager of the company, Engr. Henry Boager, told newsmen that the final testing phase had been conducted successfully.
Boager said the production system was running concurrently and had already commenced crushing operations.
According to him, the plant has a production capacity of four tons per hour, although operations began at two tons per hour before gradually increasing output.
He said “We started the final test run today and, so far, everything is going smoothly. Our system is running concurrently and we have successfully commenced crushing operations.
“Ordinarily, the system capacity is four tons per hour, but we started with two tons per hour and gradually increased production.
“The crushing rate has now risen to three tons per hour, and we are working towards attaining the full four tons per hour capacity,” he added.
Boager explained that the final phase was also used to test the efficiency and capacity of the equipment.
The manager commended the Group Managing Director of BIPC, Raymond Asemakaha and the State Governor, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia for the opportunity to serve the state through the project.
